VILLAGE OF BALDERSON.
CHURCHES:
(1) Balderson United Church. For a number of years, Presbyterians in Bathurst and Drummond Townships worshiped in one another's homes. The present Church was built in in l903-4 of blue limestone with sandstone accents. In 1925 the Presbyterian congregations voted in favor of union, becoming the Balderson United Church.

HAMLET OF PRESTONVALE: 
CHURCH:
(5) Prestonvale United Church. Built in l866, this Methodist Church became United in 1925. It was closed in l959 but is open for various special services and is much loved by its volunteers.

(6) St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.
NOTE:  Open Saturday only 10:00am - 4:00pm
Constructed in l856. One of the earliest Roman Catholic Missions in Ontario.

HAMLET OF PLAYFAIRVILLE.  
CHURCH:
(8) Playfairville United Church. The present Church was was built by British Lt. Col. Andrew William Playfair in 1860 and his son John Johnston Playfair. It is in Federal Style with a board and batten exterior. All interior furnishings are original to the building. It also retains its original stained glass windows. The Church was closed in l965.

VILLAGE OF LANARK.

(9) St. Andrew's United Church. Lanark Village. Original Church built in 1822. Present edifice built in l860.  
(10) Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Constructed in l903 of limestone drawn by each parish family from a local quarry.  
(11) Lanark First Baptist Church. Built by Scottish Pioneers about l860. The congregation purchased this Church from the United Church in l954.

1024 Heron Mills Road. This interpretative Trail winds through coniferous and hardwood forests and by boardwalk across a small wetland. Picnic area with tables.

(20) Trinity United Church. Built in 1860 by the Presbyterian congregation. Became United Church in 1925.

MUSEUM:
(21) Middleville & District Heritage Museum. Set in an 1861 two-story former stone school house. Find treasurers from the past waiting to be discovered.   BUSINESS:

(26) St. Andrew's United Church. The original Zion Presbyterians amalgamated in l965 with St. James and Playfairville to form the present St. Andrew's United.   LIBRARY:
(27) Dalhousie Historic Library & Museum. The earliest Rural Library in Ontario. Established in l828, the library served as an important centre of pioneer community life. 613 259 5223.  
(28) The Purdon Conservation Area. Dalhousie Con.8th, This Conservation Area offers two interpretative trails, a boardwalk through the orchid fen and the more rugged Highlands trail through an uplands forest. Picnic tables provided.

(31) St. Columbkill Catholic Church. This charming Church was Built in 1893 as a Mission Church.The first wedding took place at this Church in 1893.

HAMLET OF ELPHIN.  
CHURCH:
(32) Elphin Presbyterian Church.
Please note this Church has Tour "Open Doors" on Saturday October 18th only.
3027 Elphin/Maberly Road. Built in 1820 when the first settlers arrived. Rev. James Findlay was inducted as the first minister in the area in 1846. In 1877 a log church was constructed in Elphin. By 1894 the congregation had grown and the present Church Sanctuary was built.

VILLAGE OF MABERLY.
CHURCH:
(33) St Alban the Martyr Anglican Church. Built in 1886, it is a Gothic structure of brick veneer with stained glass memorial windows. The cross atop its white bell tower welcomes travelers entering the hamlet. There have been renovations made to the Church and it is wheelchair accessible.

(34) Maberly United Church Celebrated its l20th Anniversary in 2005, dating back to l885. It is located in the attractive village of Maberly.

CHURCH HARVEST SUPPER.
Maberly United  Church invites visitors taking the Scarlet Maple Fall Tour to join them at the end of their touring for a hearty Church Harvest Supper to be held at the nearby Maberly Community Centre, commencing at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday 18th October. Tickets: Adults: $12.00. Children 6-12 $5.00.
